LINKS TO SCHOOL SAFETY SURVEYS NOW AVAILABLE FOR PARENTS

Earlier this week, links to the on-line school safety surveys were e-mailed out to parents. Each building has its own specific and unique survey.  If you are a parent/guardian with students in more than one school building, then you should have received multiple e-mails/survey links.

Your thoughts and feedback are important to us.  All parents/guardians are encouraged to complete a survey for each building in which they have a child enrolled. If you did not receive the survey links via e-mail, they can also be accessed by clicking on the links below:

Olmsted Falls High School – School Safety Survey

Olmsted Falls Middle School – School Safety Survey

Olmsted Falls Intermediate School – School Safety Survey

Falls-Lenox Primary School – School Safety Survey

Early Childhood Center – School Safety Survey

The input of our parents will play an important role in the updating of building safety plans. We thank you in advance for your time and participation.  Additional reminder e-mails with these survey links will be sent out over the next few weeks.

NEW PARENT E-MAIL DISTRIBUTION LIST NOW IN USE

Beginning this week, Olmsted Falls School District transitioned to an updated parent e-mail distribution list.  This new list contains all current parent/guardian e-mails from the District’s new PowerSchool database. Most parent e-mails from this distribution list that we have been using throughout this school year should be included in this new distribution list.

If you find that you are no longer receiving District e-mails alerts, please contact Kim Petrina via e-mail at kpetrina@ofcs.net and provide the name(s)/grade(s) for each of your students.  This will enable us to add your e-mail to the new parent e-mail distribution as well as to the PowerSchool database, so that you may continue to receive District communications via e-mail.

Thank you to those that have already e-mailed to inform us of a needed update.  Please allow 3-5 days for the updates to take effect.  It is our District’s goal to reach as many parents as possible with our e-mail communications.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

OLMSTED FALLS MUSIC BOOSTERS CHRISTMAS TREE SALE A SUCCESS

399179_4772834566016_62242104_nThe Olmsted Falls Music Association held its 3rd annual Christmas Tree Sale this past weekend.  Student volunteers earned service hours towards their applications for the Tri-M Music Honor Society.  Hard-working students logged over 100 service hours.  OFMA sold a record number of trees this year with profits over $1300 to go to the OFMA general fund.  Fundraising like the tree sale allows OFMA to donate another $11,000 to the schools’ music departments this year.  These funds are used at every grade level to support and enhance music education.  In past years funds have been used to buy and repair instruments and to add sound systems to the high school band and choir rooms.  For more photos, please click here.
