According to a recent U.S. Census Bureau report, Ohio ranked 19th in the nation in per-pupil spending for the 2006-2007 school year. At $9,799, Ohio spent $133 more per student than the U.S. average. New York led the list, at $15,981 per student. Utah spent the least: $5,683.
