Parent Update – January 31, 2015
DISABILITY AWARENESS WEEK HIGHLIGHTS
The week of January 12th was the eighth annual Accepting Differences/Disability Awareness Week at Falls-Lenox Primary School. The activities included guest readers in classrooms, a poster/essay contest and an awesome assembly featuring the Wheelchair Cavs. Some teachers even got in on the action!
Winners of the poster contest were grade 1, Tristan Sammono and Elizabeth LaFraniere; grade 2, Andrew Kreitzer and Dominic DiFilippo.
The week was another chance to celebrate how we are all different, but alike in so many ways, too. Thank you to Mrs. Scott, school psychologist, for organizing the week. To view a photo gallery of the poster winners and basketball game, click HERE.
